Here is my detailed review... DATE My family of four came here for dinner on Saturday July 25, 2015. Went shopping afterward at Silver Sands. DINNER Appetizer - chips and salsa. The salsa was very fresh and tasty. The chips were ok. Wife - Cobb Salad. She loved it. Me - Burger (bacon, tomato, mustard) and fries. I'm admittedly a burger snob. I liked it, not the best, but good. Son (14) - Burger (bacon) and fries. Same as me. Daughter (9) - Kids cheese quesadilla. She was happy. We all got soft drinks where they had like 100 selections. My daughter loved the Cherry Fanta and I got the Cherry Diet Dr Pepper; others got Root Beer. PRICE $53.65 (before tip). Kind of pricey to me, although we're in a vacation town so that's common. THEME Typical bar and grille with lots of TV's and Jimmy Buffet music playing. Nice and roomy with several large tables for groups. Plenty of space to sit at the bar. Check out other people's pics if you're curious. STAFF Our waitress was courteous and attentive. I had one minor special request for a ballgame on one of the TV's. The game never came on, but to fair that's probably out of her control. CONCLUSION Would we go back? I don't find this restaurant worth going out of my way. If you're shopping at Silver Sands well...by all means have a burger!

I am giving this 3 stars because the FOOD was great. But with great food should come great service. Our waitress was very nice but unfortunately most of the kitchen staff was sent home early for some reason and that created a huge problem for all the patrons who came in to eat dinner. Our entire bill drinks food and all ended up being comp'd due to the hour and a half we waited for our food. This place has a TON of POTENTIAL the decor is awesome beautiful hand painted murals painted throughout but the service level may explain why the place is not very busy. Or maybe we just caught them on a bad night due to a short staff. Who knows. I hope this place can pick up the pace and get their ticket times under control. We will try again if we ever return back to destin.

If I could give this a zero I would. I went on the recommendation of a friend in Atlanta. Let me start by saying our server was fine, and we tipped her accordingly. First we ordered the Frickles, they were not exactly what we expected. The breading was coarse and flavorless. It was like I stuck sand and a pickle chip in my mouth, pretty disgusting....and overdone..the pickles were almost chewy as if they had been cooked hours earlier and then stuck under the heat lamp and served to us. My husband and I order the bacon cheeseburger. I ask for medium and was told to order medium well for only a little pink. My husband ordered medium thinking it would be just a little more pink than mine.....wrong. It was more like medium rare. They bring him another one and the server stands by as he cuts it in half to make sure it was ok.....it was raw! Brown on the outside and raw on the inside. She even couldn't believe it. In the end my husband ended up eating half of mine and not re-ordering his meal again. Absolute let down and waste of money. Will not be returning.

Possibly the grumpiest staff I've ever encountered at a restaurant. Foods was OK. Our waitress never refilled our drinks. In fact, she disappeared for 25 minutes. I definitely would not recommend this place.

We got in town from TN and were starving! One of our rules when on vacation-only eat at places we don't have at home! And that is an important rule. So we found this place close to another chain restaurant that we have back home and because we are on EST and are visiting CST we were one of the first lunch customers. There were four of us (3 Adults and 1 child). We were greeted at the door and showed to a booth with no delay as were another group of 3 or four to the booth just behind us. Tori was our waitress. She got our drink orders 2 of us were having water. Tori also got our food order- I had the bacon cheese burger and the Mrs. had the Calypso Salad. Our food came out quickly and the order was correct. I was really enjoying my burger. A couple of times we thought we were getting a followup from our server. However we noticed that the booth behind ours was getting A LOT of attention. I figured that the young lady sitting at the booth works or worked at this restaurant because it looked like a server station the entire time we were there. That table was getting outstanding service. I was a little jealous since my water glass was empty (not half empty =p) and so was another water drinker's glass. I can't really eat without something to drink, so all I had to do was sit there and listen to their conversation at the next table waiting for our waitress who was standing 2 feet away, to turn and look at us so I could request more water. Twice she walked away from their table without checking on us. Finally I shouted to her (I hate doing that) Miss! we need water! By this time, my burger was cold. I really liked my burger earlier-bummer. I'm sure that my frustration was partially due to the roadtrip and me being gripey and tired. But for the love of St. Pete, keep the water coming! Oh, and I had no idea about forever fries or endless fries because she didn't let me know about that either. I just now read it on your reviews. Thanks by the way. I checked in on Yelp! and was given a coupon from the company for a free drink. I showed her early in the meal and she said she would have her mgr. take care of it. When she brought my check, there had been no discount. A drink? no big deal either way. I asked "So, you're not honoring the coupon?" She clearly had forgotten when she was deep in conversation at the table right next to us. She did get the drink taken off. A little disappointed in this visit. Could have been better. Front of House 2 stars Back of House 5 stars

Waiting over 40 minutes for a simple burger and fries. Would LOVE to flag down my waitress but sadly he or she has yet to make it to our table. Our drinks and food orders got placed as soon as we sat down by the front greeter. We have been here to eat before a while ago during the off season and wasn't too impressed then.. Should have taken that as a sign. There are many other great restaurants around the outlets that are much quicker and tastier. Update: grand total of 50 minutes for our food. I understand kitchens get busy. But the waitress could at least kept us updated. She didn't even come around until the food had already came. She seemed pleasant so it's sad to see the service such garbage. I would give it an extra half a star for that..

Service not great, manager really tried and food was oooooook, I guess?!?!? Food wasn't all bad- could use some help from staff.

Not the most amazing food in the world, but a fun place to have some cool drinks, watch the game, etc. I would give them 3.5 stars if I could. It's a chain, but it's always clean and they have good service. They have $1.99 margaritas all day, which is a great deal, and they are quite good. They have really unique drinks here with all kinda of frozen layers you could imagine. They have various apps (chips and dips, potato skins, wings(6 or so flavors), fried pickles, etc), basically good things to drink and eat. They have about 15 types of burgers which are pretty good, and you can choose from fries, fried pickles, onion straws, etc for sides. I had the Bistro Burger, which I enjoyed (burger with onion straws, mushrooms, cheddar, spring mix, Dijon.) My mom had the St. Barts chicken which is two grilled/blackened caribbean style chicken breasts with rice and teriyaki broccoli. I really like the broccoli. They have various other entrees, like grilled chicken, seafood etc, and you can eat reasonably healthy if you so choose. It is a chain, but it fits in fairly well in the area. I think it's a fun place to have a few drinks.

Super mediocre. The fried shrimp was good, decent size, but a little salty The burgers were mediocre Service was good Plus was 2 dollar margarita all the time

This is our second time at this location. The food is wonderful and the staff are friendly. The burgers are huge! Either come with a big appetite or plan to share

I'm a fan of casual dining. We went in for a late lunch and we were seated in ten minutes. I ordered a turkey burger with onion strips. It was so good. My husband had the salmon and he said it was delicious. Overall, I would say it was a positive experience. Of course, it wasn't crowded so the service was great.

I just had dinner here, but 3 bites into the burger I had to send it back because mine and my husbands medium well burgers were too pink to eat. Disgusting enough to cause me to lose my appetite. The manager tried to correct the mistake but she and the entire staff seemed put out by helping us. We had to help ourselves to refills and napkins at the bar. This was a total bust for paradise. Find another place to eat.

Burgers were good nothing amazing. I enjoyed the fries the most. We had a great waiter! Three stars because the manager completely threw our waiter under the bus. The manager brought our food out and we asked for mustard and mayo....he forgot! Finally just asked our server after 10 minutes waiting on the manager to never arrive. A few minutes after our server delivered the manager came with the mustard and mayo and said "just wanted to make sure your waiter got what you needed. Hope you didn't have to wait long." UGH! POS! Forgetting isn't the issue...making the server look bad is the problem. We all forget things but blaming someone else for your mistakes is wrong. We will never visit again

Top shelf margarita had little to no alcohol in it - I don't drink but I know it should have had a little kick. So I asked the bartender, Keith, if he could add alcohol he told me it already had 2 oz in at and with "better liquor" you won't feel it. Hahaha. Bologna. I told him that If I do drink it's usually a "royal flush" and he told me that crown is not a good liquor. Haha. Who trained this guy?! He is a just loser beach bum who sits behind the register on his phone and doesn't care about his guests experience...I should have watched him make the drink, because it definitely wasn't made correctly. And the nachos were the worst. Zero flavor unless you were lucky enough to get a jalapeño in your bite. They did not compare to the nachos at other locations. So we did not even bother to order food based off of that initial plate. I've been to the location in Orlando several times and was wowed by the food and service. Even the myrtle beach location is better than this dump. Overall we were just swinging in for a drink and snack while we shopped and left very disappointed. We will not be coming back nor recommending the establishment to anyone in the future. The environment is supposed to be fun and it was opposite of that. The staff totally hates their job and the customers should not be able to feel that energy while dining.

We pulled in here trying to find a place for lunch....there are a lot better places to eat in the area but traffic was at a stand still right in front of the restaurant. Our service was good but the fish tacos were blah. The cabbage was bitter, the pineapples were barley there and there was like 1 minuscule drop of the sauce on each taco. I choked down two with plenty of water to drink. My husband said said his chicken was ok.

If your idea of paradise is: 1. Not having a table set-up (silverware, condiments, water + straw) 2. Being slowly waited on/served 3. Receiving a half-melted margarita from the bar 4. Paying high dollar prices for mediocre food Then paradise you have found! This place is a poorly managed chain restaurant amoung many decent dining spots in Destin. Skip this place and find a real paradise on the beach.

Good service. French fries not crispy, though. Droopy and soggy French fries don't really jive with Jimmy Buffett in my mind :). Other than that, food is good. Also, I'm not crazy about being handed a bottle of mustard directly from another customer's table. Think about it. Your eating a cheeseburger with your hands...and now, with a total stranger's hands. Use your napkin to cut down on germs.

Service. 3 stars Food. 2 stars Atmosphere. 3 stars Price. 2 stars Burger was great. Fries were good. Service was friendly. Decor was tired. Very "theme park" feel like you'd see at Disney. It was a worn out cabana type feel. Paid $8 for fried pickles and they gave us about 20. Usually you get a basketful anywhere else. All in all, I'd not come back. It's an overpriced burger joint that needs a lot of work.

When we went it wasn't busy at all so we were seated quickly. The waitress was nice but a bit slow. It took her longer then what is considered "usual" time to bring us out drinks. I also ordered a drink from the bar but apparently she forgot about that because it never came and wasn't on bill. I hate when wait staff doesn't write down orders! The burgers were pretty good. You could tell they weren't frozen patties but in my opinion they lacked in flavor. Ie: nothing really special about them and they averaged about 12$ a plate. I would have expected the atmosphere to be a bit more fun based on the theme and name. My wife made the comment that the sign inside that read it's 5 o'clock somewhere should have read it's close to 9 and I'm ready to go home. Lol All in all it wasn't bad but wasn't paradise either. I probably wouldn't visit this place again. Especially with all the other restaurants around this town.

Worst service waiting 40min for table when half the restaurant was empty noticed server was more concerned about playing on phone than paying attention to customers place has gone down hill tremendously since last time I was there notice that one manager John I think was his name was more concerned flirting with wait staff than coustomer servce when I complained about my medium burger being Burt and hours old he reassured me he was the KM and there was nothing wrong with a medium burger that had zero pink it wow never going back Avoid this place like the plague

  • Bo W.

Not very clean. Service was slooooooooow. 10 minutes just to get our drink order. Waitress kept disappearing. Water had broccoli floating in the bottom. Told her, but I'm guessing she forgot. Ordered an appetizer (chips and dip), but it's been 10 minutes and, nothing. I felt rushed to order; even had to interrupt to ask for Kobe beef on my burger. The light above our table kept flickering. This place is a dump. 20 minutes now and no appetizer. We are about to walk out. This place sucks!

If I could give 1/2 star I would. For a place named "cheese burger in paradise" they are an epic fail when it comes to burgers. Dry and lacking any flavor it was even hard to swallow. No wonder this place had tables available immediately when every other restaurant in town had a 1+ hour wait. Service was ok...... not the worst I have ever experienced. Truthfully I wish we just would have gone to Denny's. (Not really)

  • Jeanne P.

I loved our food. We went twice. The first time just drinks and chips and salsa. Sliders the second time. My husband loved his Cheeseburger! What I was NOT happy about was the fact that they were going to charge me MORE money for a margarita without alcohol!! Unbelievable. They were not busy at the time but it was clearly a problem and they did not offer me a substitute . We will not be back.

  • Toni P.

Slowwwwww service. Burgers are okay. Got the frickles (fried pickles) for an appetizer and the breading is VERY heavy. We took the breading off 1 side and they were much more tasty. The onion fries are very good though. We all enjoyed those. Yet another chain restaurant.

    (2)
  • Rich R.

My wife and I were there today. I ordered the cheeseburger in paradise but it was far from paradise. I ordered medium well but it was very overcooked and dry. My wife ordered the sliders which were even dryer yet. I thought the meal was way too pricey for burgers and fries.

  • Kelsey H.

My family and I went here for good food and a chance to beat the heat. I would have rather fried out in the sun. I ordered a cheeseburger medium well. It came out rare and when I asked for it to be taken back, I was argued with and it was refused. Two others ordered sandwiches and it turns out it lacked the wasabi sauce and avocados. When asked about that, the manager proclaimed that they had been out of the sauce for weeks and she had no idea (poor management). Then the manager forces the waitress to deal with our bill, instead of her. We received no comp and no chances to have our food fixed. Horrible restaurant. Don't waste your money.

Almost didn't eat here. When we got in the building, it smelled very musty and service was slow. It took a good ten minutes to get us seated and we went on a monday night with very little people there. Everything seemed run downed and like it needed a thorough cleaning. When it came time to order i got the Coastal Chicken Wrap with jerk chicken. I wanted the Malibu Chicken Wrap, but unfortunately this location had limited menu selections. The Coastal Chicken Wrap was not up to par. The chicken was way too spicy and it reminded me of a Wendy's chicken wrap. It was definitely not worth the 11 dollars plus tip. The fries were the only edible part of this meal, will not be going back ever!

  • Sarah S.

We had just been shopping at the nearby outlet mall and decided to stop here. Not at all crowded which was a little fishy, but it was a Monday so we figured that was it. We ordered drinks and the were out of bottles of Bud Light as well as blue Powerade. Then we ordered our food. My sister, Mother, and I got their chicken wraps. My sister and Mom said the jerk chicken was good, but very spicy. I got the breaded chicken with my wrap and it was okay. The breading was very soggy. My Dad got their wings w/ dragon sauce and said they were really good. Overall, the food was good but nothing special. The atmosphere wasn't very good though. It was very bright and the table and menus were sticky. Also, we had to ask them to put Monday Night Football on and even then it took them a long time to find it. It wasn't too bad, but I wont be going back.

We have been to this location several times and we have always had consistent quality. The chicken tender wrap was excellent with light breading tossed in just the right amount of sauce. The all-American burger was on special and the meat was quality! We love their shoe string fries and also had their homemade chips smothered in cheese. The chips stayed crunchy and were not greasy or soggy. Awesome!

Tried this place on spring break vacation with family of 8. The place was freezing cold, 2 waitresses fought over who would take our table, waitress was reluctant to put side of lettuce for kids burger, drinks were empty for 10 min or more and had to flag another waitress over (ironically the one who lost the fight for our table: kinda wish we got her), when the food finally came out the waitress was told we needed mayo twice and we told the manager as well, 15 min wait on mayo. My fries and half the table very cold. I checked in on yelp and said I get free soft drink so I showed waitress it and she said she talk to manager (this was before food came), not until after she was picking up our plates did she say if I wanted the free drink after all (yeah after I'm full is when I want a drink) which I declined. Checks took forever to come, then forever to pick up with cards in it. The good was that the shrimp in my wife's poboy was unbelievable and fresh, best shrimp I had on vacation. Hamburger was mediocre. Was going to give this place 2 stars but after writing review just too many negatives to do that. Will not be going here again if we take another vacation here. Sorry paradise burgers, service horrible.

Ordered house special "paradise" burger and was surprised when it arrived much smaller than expected for the price. Kitchen really skimped on the pulled pork. Although tasty, Adam Richman from "Man vs Food" would have starved with these portions...just saying. Service was good but place was empty. Reviews said place is good for drinks...definitely needs to work more on quality of food. Funny how a family restaurant is known for their "drinks". I guess Jimmy Buffett is the one laughing all the way to the bank on this one. They should rename this place "Swindling in Paradise" to fit the location of a complete tourist trap. Surprised tourists travel all the way here to fall for this lame excuse for food.

Food was ok. But took forever just for apps. The server is the reason for this. Her clothes were so dirty that it was almost difficult to eat when she was around. The tables stayed dirty for 30 min after the guests left. Won't be back!!

Amazing!!!! Great tasting and unique good! Fast and friendly service! Perfect portion sizes! And clean and kid friendly environment!!!

Appetizer came out with entrees. Kids meal supposed to be served on frisbee and wasn't, kids upset. Food was average. Wait was disgustingly long. We were seated in the bar area during football not good for service. 10 min before drink order were taken. Once food was brought never saw server again until it was time to pay.

  • Michele M.

Service was lacking. Waited for a table less than 10 mins... That was fine. Once seated, waited nearly 30 minutes for the wait staff to take our drink orders. Manager came over and brought us free appetizers to appease us. Food orders took a little long, but not terrible. Actual meals were excellent. Waiter forgot to bring my sweet potato fries So I didn't get any with my meal... Had to box them up and take them with us. The waiter tried but I believe he was given our table out of his area.

Sad to see all the bad reviews... We have always had good experiences here. We always come here at least once, if not twice when we are in town. I recommend the queso and chips appetizer. It's really yummy. Our favorite entree is the teriyaki salmon. It is awesome. It comes with steamed broccoli and island rice. My boyfriend says the strawberry lemonade is fantastic. They put fresh strawberries in it! I'm partial to the pina coladas.. Mmm... We will definitely be back!

We were at the outlets so we stopped in for lunch. Before going in I looked at their online menu and it had 6.99 lunch specials, we were thrilled. Walked in and looked at the menu and nothing was 6.99. I asked our super nice server if they had a lunch special menu and she said that was the only menu, she knew nothing about 6.99 specials. So I tried the All American burger and onion strings (up charge), the other person in my party had a Calypso salad. We both really liked the food, exceeded my expectations for a kitschy chain. On the expensive side, especially for lunch. The burger, onions and coke along with tax and tip ran me a steep $19!!!

Overpriced Food-Don't waste your time! We were starving after a day at the beach and wanted to beat the crowd- we took a chance on getting in here before the dinner crowd, which is around 7-8 pm during summer at least. We had a party of 8 and had to split up with nearby tables to get in- didn't like that- I was even more unhappy when they put us side by side at two 4 seater tables and could've easily turned them to join them. Never seen them not do that in a restaurant (not in a busy area either btw) Typical busy loud restaurant- the BEST thing about the place? THE MUSIC! They played popular country music we all enjoyed. This place is really just a touristy place- especially being in the lot of the Outlet Mall- so be prepared to wait if you go at the peak times. We ordered fried pickles- YUK- how do you mess those up?? These looked like fresh round cucumbers with a batter that didn't even stick- and they serve it with a HORSERADISH DIP! Really? My 6 year old said "the ranch is bad" and at the next restaurant we ordered them at, he asked the server, "Will you bring good ranch, not bad ranch?" That's the impression it left on him. Sad. We also got the white queso which is also a family favorite- OMG- what was it? It was not queso- more like something from a can with zero flavor- it looked more like cream of mushroom soup or something. I don't know but I couldn't eat it. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, well done and specifically asked for well done and I said, almost burnt, NO FAT bacon. The first thing I SAW was fatty, gross bacon hanging out- I took it off and put it back on their serving tray- that gross! (see pic) The bun was great, the meat had NO FLAVOR at all- just a dry burger. The FRIES?? They are a poor version of McD's- and I said POOR! They get cold so fast, you can't eat them. Even husband agreed on that. Kids meal- my son got the ribs and as you'll see- it was quite a small portion for the large price- I think 3 ribs?! I should've gotten the appetizer version instead. Poor kid- he just wasn't happy either. Then- the bill? OMG- nearly $200 for burgers? Well- un edible burgers?? The $2.50 + cokes add up too. bottom line: it's cute, it's neat, it's got great decor- just don't expect a gourmet burger even though you'll pay a gourmet price! Keep on driving. We did search our yelp and the highest rated burger around is Topp's (connected to a car wash) we wished we'd gone for that instead.

My family and I have passed by this place countless of times driving up and down 98 while staying in Destin and finally went and tried it out this time. It was truly amazing. The service was very attentive and friendly. Had the Bacon Cheddar Burger made well done and it was truly delicious. The burgers are huge but they are delicious and filling. Will definitely be coming back again for a good burger!

Worst service I have ever had it took almost an hour to get our food and it was cold by the time we got it. Then after we questioned the cold food the waitress got an attitude. We will never go back.

Was better than the local restaurants we tried! We were urged to try Cheeseburger in Paradise from the 2 teenage boys that were in our group that were craving burgers while at the beach. Go figure! I'll have to admit, the burgers were some of the best I've tried. Especially the kobe burger. Service was fast and friendly and it has a great family vibe.

It's my second and last time here. Sticky table and seats both times. As well as running out of pulled pork on the second visit. If I wouldn't have been with family, I would've walked out. I never will return. Thanks for consistently letting me down.

Came here with my friend, her daughter and a couple of her friends. The food was tasty and came out in a reasonable time. The service though, was just a mess. Our server, Suzy, was really odd and slow. Drinks weren't refilled until she was asked to do so. Sides of sauces had to be requested a second time. Then, while taking care of paying out, Suzy made a comment to the effect of "I'm sorry, it's obvious I did something to upset you." It was said with a tone like we had done something out of line. Just a really weird experience.

We were starving after a day at the beach and decided to go to Cheeseburger in Paradise, which was across the street from the beach house. (For some reason, I completely missed the "in" in the sign and thought the place was called Cheeseburger Paradise). We got the crab & spinach dip to start. Nice twist on the original spinach dip! Everyone liked it. I got the barbeque and cheddar burger. I really loved it. Like, really loved it. It was one of the best burgers I have had in a while. My favorite part was the crispy charred bits of the beef patty. I had it cooked medium and it was perrrrrrfect. The fries were good too, but for whatever odd reason, I got a very small portion of fries. I felt like someone in the kitchen ate off my plate. I wish I had snapped a photo to show, but I was too hungry. But looking at my tablemates' plates, I definitely got much less fries. Or was someone in the kitchen trying to tell me something??? In any case, I thought it was very strange. Our server never cleared off our appetizer, so that empty platter was sitting in the middle of the table, taking up precious room. That was a bit annoying. Food came out fast, which I appreciated. I'm not pretty when I'm hungry.

I got the Malibu chicken and avocado wrap. I would have to say the best part of my lunch was the sweet potato fries. Their children's menu choices however were pretty great and large portions of fruit and entree were given. All in all lunch was so so. It would have been better if I got a fun bar drink.

I don't usually single out a specific server in a review, but I will make an exception here due to EXCELLENT service. Amber was our waitress, and she did everything that would be expected of the perfect server... she greeted us promptly, always refilled the drinks when they were getting low, credited an appetizer that came out late, and had a great attitude throughout our visit. Thank you Amber, you made the review a 5 star! Food was good too... but the service really made the experience memorable. BOTTOM LINE: Amber is undoubtedly this restaurant's best server.

We were starving and found an OK place for burgers in Destin. I've had better but I've had worse too. My son had the bacon cheddar burger and I had the American burger Both were good. The fries have a good seasoning and I hear the onion rings are quite good too They appeared to have a good selection of draft and bottled beers to choose from, along with a large bar and friendly bartenders. Looks like a fun place for happy hour

We had tried all of the local places and decided to give this place a shot for something other than seafood. We were really pleased. Burgers were cooked to perfection and our drinks never got below half full. Coby was our server and he is really attentive and obviously cares about job performance. He really took care of us! Definitely eat here and definitely ask for Coby!! Oh and the key lime pie was delish!

Tasty food, but not the best Destin has to offer. The drinks were delicious (try the piña colada) and had cute little garnish!

What can I say... never disappointed. Whenever we are in the area we plan a stop here usually with friends, to socialize and have a great meal. Service is friendly and the food is always good and hot. I especially like the fact that I never have to wait for a drink refill, and the manager on duty always checks to see how you are enjoying your meal. Atmosphere is relaxed, and the restaurant is extremely clean. Five stars for a continued excellent customer service time and time again.

Never got to try the food. Went in with my kids for a Veteran's Day special they were having as I am a Veteran. It was lunch and only 3 other tables had people eating. There were 4 people standing behind the bar talking and 8 servers at the front door gossiping. We sat there for 15 minutes and no one even stopped to offer us a glass of water. We left, I let those standing at door know how disappointed I was....no one made an offer of apology. Too many other places around here that do know how to treat a customer.

Walked right in to be seated at 5 pm on a Saturday. We had a waitress who was very attentive and offered a lot of suggestions. The food was to be expected. Large portions, average price and average taste. It's a place we are glad we checked off our list but won't go out of our way to go again.

Paradise? No way! Wanted a burger vs. Seafood after eating almost 2weeks of rich seafood. Would have been better cooked at home. Buns were entirely too thick. That was all we could taste. Frickles were decent, service horrible.

Hmmmmmm..... Walking in and Jimmy Buffet was playing- so that was cute. Great mix of music while we were there, yes, the atmosphere is fantastic. 1pm on a Sunday with tons of tvs blasting football games the patrons looked a mix between chuck-e-cheese and God's waiting room getting tanked on frozen cocktails. I had the trio of dips to start. I only tried the salsa which was quite good, and the queso which was cold and lumpy. Weird. My bestie had the spinach and crab- and did say if it was good or bad... but he ate it all. For my burger I got the kobe burger, no bun, and a side salad too. I asked for no lettuce on my burger cause I hate hot lettuce. My waitress, who I guess thought it would be funny to take a shot at me, smirked and said 'wait.. wait.. you dont want lettuce on your burger but you want a side salad?" Yes. That is exactly what I said. Burger came out all alone on its plate with no fries, yet on a bun. (hello, celiac here!) So I waited patiently for the waitress to come back... and while I did I checked in with my yelp! app and got a free soft drink (yay!). When she came back she asked how everything was and I said that I was quite puzzled because my burger has a bun, and i have no fries... She explained that when you get a salad you get no fries. Only then was I alerted to the fact that they have... A GLUTEN FREE MENU! so, I guess if I ever come back I'll have to have a look see at that. ohhhhhhh.... see. I was under the impression I ordered a salad in addition to my meal. Miscommunication. That's okay. Fries came out in abundance. Unfortunately so many came out that they got cold fast, and then they were yuck. The salad was nice, very cold (which I love) and had a refreshing citrus vinaigrette which was fantastic. Portions are large, and the meals are quite filling. I did have some indigestion the rest of the day, but its more the fact that I'm not used to eating such heavy greasy meals (ie burger and fries).

Fun place. My burger and margarita were both good. The restaurant doesn't stand out as somewhere I will go out of my way to return to but it was good. It's on par with Chili's and Applebee's. Variety of food was good so it'd be a good place for families with young adolescent or teenage kids.

I was looking forward to eating at Cheeseburger in Paradise. However i will not return. I ordered a mojito and after spitting our 3 lemon seeds I was able to get a spoon and get about 4 more seeds out. Drink was pretty ruined by that point. My husband and I each ordered a wrap.that was supposed to have turkey, avocado, and cucumber-wasabi dip. Sounds good eh? Well neither of us had any avocado in it and it came without the dressing. The manager told us they hadn't had that dressing for a week or so and brought us out ranch. My daughter ordered a medium well cheeseburger. Since they are named for them, you would think they could cook them. No, the burger came out medium. We were offered a free dessert to compensate for the lack of dressing by the waitress but by that point we just wanted to leave. Service was slow and waitress could not answer some basic menu questions such as how are the cumin potatoes cooked.. Answer- Well ..they are potatoes and have seasoning on them. Don't waste your time or money.

I make it a point to come here every trip to Silver Sands.. The Strawberry Colada is out of this world!! My favorite beach drink next to a Bushwacker. Sadly this visit was not up to par. We waited over an hour for 3 burgers and a wrap. The GM came over and apologized which helped but his 2 minute quote turned into 20 minutes. Sadly it seems Cheeseburger in Paradise is not quite truly paradise, more like extreme wait-a-dise.

This place was pretty good for a chain sort of restaurant. It took us two tries to actually get to eat here. The first time, it was so cold that we left but planned to go back with sweaters (this was July 29th!). We did go back and had a decent meal. Fried pickles were good but I didn't care for the sauce. I had the crab cakes which were more crabby than bready. My little one ordered the steak and it came out very spicy for a kids steak. Other people at the table enjoyed what they ordered. Service was good.

This was my first time dining at a Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant. Apparently there's one in the Atlanta area but I was in Destin and dined at that location. I arrived during Happy Hour and they had $3.50 house margaritas. Sounds good to me! They were tasty, but very little alcohol. Guess I should have just gone ahead and ordered the $8.95 top shelf but it too may have been lacking in alcohol. The burger I had... I don't recall the exact name but it was a burger with jalapenos, bacon, cheese, onions and guacamole. It was actually very tasty (and big!). Not overly hot and spicy - just right. The fries were somewhat ordinary - just fries. Overall enjoyed my dining experience and I would go back. Great atmosphere for families.

Don't waste your money. I took my wife and two kids on New Years eve. Our waitress claimed they were "slammed" but half of the tables in the place were empty. When she took our drink order she got annoyed when my 8 year old asked about a kids drink. She was extremely rude to my daughter when taking her meal order. The food was just as bad as the horrible service. The only item between the four plates that was ok was my son's fries. I would have saved 40 bucks and had better food and service if I had just gone to McDonalds. I will never go back.

Excellent burger! We had a little bit of wait but not too bad! Whole family loved the food! We got chips and queso as an appetizer and was very pleased. They have a wide variety of drinks with add-ins similar to sonic. The burger was juicy and hot! We had a great time!

service was poor and burger was a little cold. this was probably due to the poor service. we sat right next to the bar and the bar tender decided that chatting with her friend was more important than assistning us in a timely manner. she seemed to have a horrible memory. this was great the first time we came for lunch two years ago. maybe its just better for lunch than dinner.

I had the worst headache EVER when I got there. It was like 6pm and I was already hungover from my afternoon drinking binge. My Uncle ordered me a margarita because I guess the solution to a hangover is to drink more?? I could barely bring myself to do it, (the smell of tequila made me sick-er) but did anyway. If I had been sober I would have downed that sucker in 5 minutes. I could tell it was good but was in too much pain to care. All I did was sit at the bar with my head in my hands. After waiting like 30 minutes for a table, we sat down and started looking at the food options. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was so F-ing good that I forgot about the throbbing in my head for five whole minutes! The fries were spicy and had cayenne pepper sprinkled on them (i think?) so it inconvenienced my son a bit. He was too small to tolerate spicy things. I checked in on Yelp as we were leaving and saw I missed out on a Yelp deal for a free drink. I wanted to kick myself. Ugh. Stupid headache.

Ever since Mr Buffett pulled out from ownership the franchise just isn't the same. Really enjoyed CBP a year ago, great burgers, clean and fresh atmosphere, friendly staff. But.... now I really can't stand the place. Most of the staff is still friendly and helpful. The food is not that same, the burgers are small and tasteless, the buns stale, and the toppings just are not there. Ordered a burger with avocado, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños. When it came out, there was a drop of sour cream, a piece of avocado the size of a pea, brown lettuce, no jalapeño and runny salsa. Needless to say it was crap. Draft beer was flat. My wife's salad had brown lettuce, very dry chicken. It was to the point that it would have been a waste of time to complain. Such a shame, this place used to have really good food!!! Our waitress was very friendly, and understood why we were not happy, so no shame on her! This most likely will be our last time eating there.

CIP is a chain, and as with all chains they run a strong risk of being derivative and unimaginative clones with cheap junk littering the walls. CIP, with stores in exotic locales such as Kansas City, Omaha, and Hilliard, Ohio, is at particularly high risk for trying to impose "Paradise" on places that clearly far from it. However, placing a CIP in Destin is a horse of a different color as Destin. The abundance of good food, fun servers, fruity drinks AND the possibility that you might actually be IN paradise all make for a great experience. Chains aren't usually known for stretching out happy hour for their honored out-of-town guests, but CIP gets +1 Star for doing just that.

More like cheeseburger in hell! Given it's tacky location and decor I'll admit I didn't expect much, but little did I know what an unpleasant experience lunch would be. The waitress entirely ignored our table (so that we couldn't correct her on the incorrect drinks she brought), and the food took over an hour to come. When it finally arrived, there was no bacon on my wrap as the menu had said, and my friends' "medium" burgers were raw in the middle. Because of this, they spent much of their time at the mall in the bathroom...save yourself and go to panera instead!

Ten of us in our dining party. Ordered everything from cheeseburgers to wings to fish tacos. Other that the $2 draft beer special, the food was average, at best. Wings were small and served with breading - no option for naked. All the flavors tasted the same and were unimpressive. Everything is overpriced. Service was a little slow even though the restaurant was less than half full. Not worth the time or money.

We like Margaritaville so thought we'd try Cheeseburger in Paradise. We forgot we'd been here before...it left that little of an impression then & did again. Food was mediocre at best. We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer when we ordered our drinks & never received them. I guess the waiter forgot because he brought them 10 minutes after we got our entrees. They were probably the worst fried pickles I'd ever had & the sauce was terrible. Don't waste your money here.

This is the first restaurant review I have EVER written. But, I am writing this to keep future vacationers from experiencing the awful service of this place. Went to this place during spring break with my family of 5. We get there and there was a large sign on the front of the building that said now hiring. We walked in and and realized very quickly that they really had some big problems. Half of the tables were empty and yet we were told that the wait time would be about 10-15minutes. There was another group in front of us that were still waiting as well. No big deal, waiting 15 minutes for a table in Destin on a Friday night is nothing. The ketchup I sent my daughter to get was also empty and the waitress still had not brought any that she forgot. She should since it never came. As we were signing our ticket, we noticed the table next to us was just now getting appetizers. We had ate our meal, dessert, and paid before they received an appetizer. You would be best to pass this place up and try another burger place like five guys or whataburger. A group of friends and I make an annual trip to Destin to recreate a wedding that we were a part of. Luckily for me, a good friend lives nearby in Pensacola and we always meet up for lunch and some quality time since I'm so far away in Houston. Since neither of us were familiar with the area, we just hopped in the car and started looking for somewhere to go. I spied a Carrabba's and figured we could at least get an Italian margarita and split an appetizer. Next door, though, was a Cheeseburger in Paradise (naturally, on our drive from Texas to Florida, we listened to some Jimmy Buffett, including the eponymous song). We noticed that happy hour was going to start in a half hour and quickly decided on giving it a shot. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from a chain based on a song by Jimmy Buffett, but we decided to split a few appetizers and get a few drinks. We got one of their six mini-cheeseburger plates and their thinly sliced onion rings. Surprisingly, the little burgers were absolutely delicious and I could definitely have eaten a few more of them by myself. The onion rings were also battered just right and once we got some blue cheese dressing to go with it, we were set and happily devoured our food. Once the half hour wait for the happy hour prices was up, I ordered their signature pina colada. The drink was huge and was one of the best pina coladas I've ever had. They topped it off with a purree of pineapple, a small dollop of their rum runner, and also a drizzle of blackberry puree. The drink was probably a little light on the booze (or I'm just a seasoned alcoholic and couldn't taste it), but it was super flavorful. All in all, with a decent amount of appetizers, tax, tip, and a few drinks, we got out of there for $30. Far better than I would have expected from a touristy chain both for the value and the quality. I could definitely see coming back here again.

OMG. Went here around 9pmish one night after a night of shopping and playing on the beach and found out the service was HORRENDOUS. It was packed I admit but we waited about an hour for a table and when the big table was open it took 15-20 minutes for them to clean it. When we finally sat down it took another HOUR to receive the food we'd ordered. I do give it one star because my dish was very good (salmon salad with fruit in it) but everyone else's dish was EH and then to top it off, the hubby found a LONG hair sitting on one half of his sandwich after he'd eaten the first half. ICK. The manager came over and apologized profusely and took it off our ticket and offered anythign else complimentary - which was very good. But after a 2 hour wait for a meal we were like "boo"... So, wait was too long, hair in food, long wait after ordering and so-so food. Boo.

Jimmy Buffet would have a fit if he knew about the crappy burgers and drinks this place was serving. The margarita will give you a cavity before it gives you a buzz. And the cheese burger was anything but paradise. The bun was so dry it completely crumbled half way through the meal. The fries were soggy and unseasoned. Staff was lazy and just didn't appear to care. Overall, worst restaurant experience in a long time.

Awful service!!!!! We were vacationing in fl and ate here. We never even got our appetizer, our waitress was awful. I do not recommend this place. we even had friends eat there the day after us and they said it took 40 mins to get their food.

This place has to be under new management or something because it took 15 mins for our waitress to come take our drink orders then it took over 22mins for our appetizer to come out. The when we got our food over 40mins later it was totally wrong. It wasn't even close to what I ordered so they took the food back and the manager came over and made a joke about it?!?!?!?!?!? He said " so I see your burger was good, ha ha I have another one on the grill for you, I don't know how they got it wrong in the kitchen because it was right on the order the waitress put in" then walked away. Then we got my food and the check OMG could anything else go wrong? YES it could thy double charged me for my burger and charged me for a tea with alcohol in it and I only got a unsweet tea. I will not be going back here it was the worst experience I have had at a Cheeseburger in Paradise. Good luck if you go there.

I survived on Jimmy Buffett songs from my early twenties through my mid thirties. I was one of the first "coconut telegraph" subscribers, gave what little money I had to his "save the manatee" charity, and even tried to find his home in key west back in the 80's. I'm not quite sure why, but have always steered away from his restaurants. Maybe it's the fear of being disappointed and tarnishing of an artist image that had such an impact on my youth. Or, maybe It's simply the commercialization of a lifestyle I viewed as unique to me and a few close friends. Either way, I never had the desire to try his restaurant until today. On a rainy day in Florida, my wife and I decided to take the girls to the outlet mall. After an hour or so in a few "teen" shops I quickly had to find an alternate plan. Bingo! There's a cheeseburger in paradise. I gave the girls my money and told them to meet me at Jimmy's when the they were finished. My bartender "Jimmy" (not sure if all the wait staff call themselves Jimmy or it's just coincidence) immediately put me at ease with friendly conversation. The decor is a little Corny, but should be expected with a "tropical" themed chain. Surprisingly the margarita was great! Maybe it was more the friendly conversation, but I was pleasantly surprised. Although I didn't, the gentleman next to me had the grilled salmon which looked and smelled wonderful. The Friendly staff, better than average margarita, and good "looking" salmon was a nice surprise considering it's a small chain restaurant which I am not a huge fan of. Good job Jimmy.. Your legacy lives on.

I ordered the Chedder Bacon Burger believing this would be their signature item. What I got was a dry tasteless burger. I will not return

It was alright. If you've been to one of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritavilles you'll be disappointed. Food was fine but a bit pricey for what it was. Extensive drinks menu. Kids would get a kick out of it. Dates probably wouldn't. I was kind of ho-hum on it.

I went there again, and had the beach burger. It was good, but their crab and spinach dip and their chocolate nachos are the real winners.

The people from Outback teamed up with Jimmy Buffet to create this chain of burger and rum-loving eateries. They have some pretty good sliders.

Jimmy Buffet, stay out of the restaurant business. I had to ask for every single condiment , all I got was a greasy burger patty sitting on a bun??? I did get a to go box, and fed the rest to the seagulls.

  • Eleanor S.

I'm a fan of casual dining. We went in for a late lunch and we were seated in ten minutes. I ordered a turkey burger with onion strips. It was so good.

    (1)
  • Rachel M.

Ate here in destin. My husband's mini hamburger sliders we raw. Completely red and bloody inside. He had four sliders, two were raw. The other two, very under cooked. I was definitely not impressed by the food or the service. The waiter kept getting our drinks wrong. It also took forever for us to get our food. About 45 mins, and the place wasn't even packed. You would think that with all that time to cook our food that it would have actually been cooked all the way through.... Will not be back.
